Zaltron Limited is a small privately owned company, which was started in 1999 by John Reynolds, who has over 25 years in the airborne surveillance and broadcast field. Johns career began working for Marconi (which later became GEC Sensors), where he worked on a number of major military surveillance systems involving infrared, low light, and visual sensors, coupled with laser illuminators, and rangefinders.
John left GEC Sensors in the early 1990's to join Flying Pictures Systems Ltd, where he was involved in the design of airborne surveillance and broadcast systems for commercial and paramilitary use. This company was eventually acquired by FLIR Systems Inc, and changed its name to Broadcast and Surveillance Systems. In 1998, the company became FLIR Systems Limited, and a year later all design and production ceased in the UK. Not wanting to leave design, John reluctantly left FLIR Systems to become a design consultant. After it became apparent that there was a requirement for experienced design capability within this field the decision was made to start Zaltron Limited.
Zaltron Limited, headed by John Reynolds, works closely with a number of experienced individuals, and companies within the industry. This approach ensures that our customers get the very best service, at competitive prices.
